Church in the World Window

This window represents the many opportunities for Christians to be active in the world.  The lyre represents the arts.  The Caduceus represents medicine and the mortar and pestle represents the other sciences.  Gears and a wrench represent engineering and mechanics and the shovel represents those who work the soil in agriculture.  Christians are called to social action, represented by the torch of liberty, as people are freed from their burdens.  The books and lamp represent the search for truth and learning.  All these work together to help Christians reach out to others, as represented by the clasped hands.
