Moses and the birth of the nation of Israel are remembered in this window. The tablets of the Ten Commandments are shown. [Note the Roman Numerals I - X (1 - 10) in the spots on the tablets.] Other symbols show the staff of Moses and the burning bush, from which God spoke to Moses. Moses removed his sandals at the direction of God because he was standing on Holy Ground. There was thunder and lightning while Moses was on the mountain. The Golden Calf, made by Aaron as an object of worship while Moses was in God's presence on Mount Sinai, symbolizes the struggle against evil, even among God's people. |
